Unassailable Belief
Count me not yet among the dying and dead
For I have lost all fear of life and dread
Not the vacant Void or featureless calm,
Have felt a mighty Presence whose deep balm
Compassionate and wise envelopes me
Protecting all that is and is to be,
Though I in grief have lately lost my aim
And life goes on, each dawn much the same
Yet shall I grow transcending every grief
And hold to my unassailable belief
That Death who lingers in the depths of me
Is only God guiding eternally
This soul and every soul for His delight;
Our future is not anything but bright.
